NOW IN THEATRES
DELTA FARCE
Rated PG-13
Larry the Cable Guy, Bill Engvall, D.J. Qualls
Brian’s Rating
Jeff Foxworthy built a career on the inquisitive catchphrase, “You might be
a redneck...” and spawned a new comedy genre that has generated dozens of
HBO specials and recurring Comedy Central programming.
But if you’re not a redneck or a fan of redneck humor, you probably won’t
find much to like about Delta Farce, which features two of the clown
princes of redneck comedy, Larry the Cable Guy and Bill Engvall.
Now I have friends and family members that could be accurately described as
rednecks, so this humor was familiar and in fact appealing to me.
Truth be told, I found a lot of it downright funny. But this is coarse, low
brow stuff and a far cry from Shakespeare and I also need to warn you about
the language which is pretty rough.
Still, I kinda liked Delta Farce. Now excuse me while I chase the
chickens out of the living room.
