I have never read a Ghostrider comic book. Batman and Sergeant Fury where my guys. But the makers of Ghostrider the movie have made it easy for you to understand and perhaps even like the DVD that bears his name.

A motorcycle daredevil makes a deal with the devil to save his dying father…and the deal doesn’t quite work out as planned. But the devil demands that the man who sold his soul still hold up his end of the bargain by killing a few netherworld thugs.

And did I mention that he does this on a souped-up motorcycle while his skull bursts into flames?

 So here’s my take. Nicholas Cage does a good job as the Ghostrider but I couldn’t stop staring at his new hairline. Eva Mendes is sufficiently hot as the Ghostrider’s girlfriend, but she’s not enough to justify the DVD price.

However, the special effects are pretty impressive and if you’re a fan of the comic book series, you’ll probably dig it.
