Brian’s Rating
Because I see so many movies cut from the same cloth,
with predictable story lines, and unimaginative dialogue, I am drawn to
those which others might consider a bit offbeat.
When I encounter a movie that really gets my attention, I have to be careful
not to oversell it, lest you think I’ve gone off my rocker.
But Hot Fuzz, is one, very funny and very offbeat movie and I think
you will like it.
An overzealous London policeman is sent to a small English village, which is
promoted as a quiet, safe community. Upon arrival, he finds that things are
not always as they seem and the plot unfolds.
Now I realize that this does not sound funny or offbeat, but I assure you
that the cast of characters he encounters, and the dialogue between them,
fits the bill perfectly.
Hot Fuzz is the most wonderful surprise I have had in months.
