Chances are you might have seen a trailer for Notes on a Scandal, which is now available on DVD.

If you did, you might think that it reveals the entire movie’s story, plot, and outcome.

The first time I saw this film promoted, I remember saying to myself, “I can wait to see that one because I know exactly what’s going to happen”.

Boy was I wrong. If you don’t rent, buy, or see Notes on a Scandal, you will miss one of last year’s best performances by Judi Dench and Cate Blanchett and one of its best movies.

Notes on a Scandal is a story of forbidden lust, forbidden love, and not-so-forbidden love.

The schoolteacher player by Cate Blanchett gets herself in a world of trouble and her conniving colleague played masterfully by Judi Dench comes to her rescue. Or does she?

This film is not without its dark moments but Notes on a Scandal is one of Hollywood’s most deliciously evil treats in recent memory.
