As I watched Rush Hour 3, the words to my favorite B.B. King song kept ringing in my ears, and for fans of the Jackie Chan-Chris Tucker pairing, the thrill is indeed gone.

We’ve seen the East-meets-West culture clash milked for all it’s worth, and the well has apparently gone dry. Laughs have been replaced by yawns, and the sting is gone from both Tucker’s rapid-fire repartee and Chan’s fists of fury. Rush Hour has never seemed so boring.

There were moments that had potential, but even an eight foot tall Asian martial arts student and an unapologetically anti-American Parisian cab driver couldn’t help Chan and Tucker deliver the goods.

I'm betting that this is the last we’ll see of this daring duo on screen, and that they’ll have to package the Rush Hour 3 DVD with the first two to sell any of these dogs for home viewing.
