In 1971, a bank robbery in England put a ragtag group of amateur thieves on the wrong side of some heavyweight bad guys, and set off a media frenzy that stopped almost as soon as it began.

Why did the story vanish from the papers? Was the government involved? Where did the money go? And why do the English have such peculiar views on sex?

You’ll find most of the answers to these questions in The Bank Job, now on DVD, a lively heist film inspired by actual events that features a delicious cast of characters and a fascinating plot. Greed, deception, espionage, love, violence and revenge—The Bank Job literally has something for everyone, unless you’re looking for a lighthearted, family-friendly film you can take the kids to see.

I don’t know how much of what I saw on the screen is actually true but I don’t care. The Bank Job gave me a thrilling ride and I’m telling everyone I know about it. And that includes you.
